Some say, the sexiest dessert ever. But me? I think all desserts are sexy.
Jiggle jiggle, sexy wiggle
Serves 6.
3 gelatine leaves
450ml double cream
200ml whole milk
100g white caster sugar
1 vanilla pod/ 3 tsp vanilla extract
1. Put gelatine leaves in a bowl of cold water to soften- will take about 5 mins.
2. Pour cream, milk & sugar into a pan, split the vanilla pod, scrape out the seeds & add, along with the pod, to the cream mixture.
3. Heat gently until hot, but not bubbling.
4. Remove gelatine leaves from the water, squeeze out any excess liquid then add, one at a time, to the hot cream. Stir until dissolved.
5. Leave to stand for 20-30 mins until cooled (vanilla pods should be suspended in the liquid by this point).
6. Strain the mixture through a sieve into serving glasses, then chill for at least 3 hours.
